Following an abrupt end to his promising professional playing career due to injury, Prince has become a practitioner of mindfulness and meditation. An inspiring and candid conversation, Prince joins the show to share his life's work that led to the creation of his new book, Mindfulness for the Ultimate Athlete: Mastering the Balance Between Power and Peace
In today’s show Prince reflects back on his “unexpected” journey to the NFL. How his mind on many occasions has identified his true potential and forced his body to catch up. The highs of beginning to master his role in the NFL and lows of having that abruptly taken away before he could fulfill his potential. Prince talks openly about the identity crisis that followed his retirement and the emotional and mental struggles that lead to him feeling hopeless and planning his suicide. Prince recounts the last minute breakthrough of how meditation literally saved his life. He shares his found purpose and the importance to him of helping others find their true potential and happiness through mindfulness and meditation.
